Each year across the nation, scouts do a "good turn" by canvassing their local communities and collecting food donations to help neighbors in need experiencing food insecurity
In 2023:
Scouts across Mecklenburg County collected 217,000 pounds of food and cash donations!
Pack 46 and Troop 46 collected food donations from about 1,500 homes in the area
This year, with the growth and strength of Pack 46, Troop 46, and Troop 146, we have a combined stretch goal of collecting food donations from about 3,000 homes! We need your help to reach our goal.
Priority food needs include canned fruit (especially no sugar added), canned meats, canned pastas, cereal, and low or no sodium canned vegetables. No glass containers, please.
